Our latest project involves a major wastewater infrastructure initiative in Mojkovac, Montenegro, including the construction of a sewerage network and the upgrade of a wastewater treatment plant.
The Role – Site Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our team on-site in Mojkovac. This is a full-time role where you will oversee construction activities, ensure adherence to project timelines, maintain high quality standards, and promote safety on-site. You will work closely with civil engineers and project stakeholders, proactively solving problems and efficiently managing resources.
The Site Engineer shall provide professional site engineering services for the supervision and technical coordination of construction works of the project according to the signed contract and conventional documents, including - indicatively and not limitatively - the following items:
- Supervise daily construction activities on site and record activities/work’s calendar in daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and contractual documents.
- Control and monitor construction work in accordance with the applicable quality standards and the contractual documents of the Project.
- Coordinate/organize subcontractors, workers, and materials/equipment.
- Record and monitor the works executed by subcontractors and prepare measurements, quantities and interim accounts related to them.
- Record and monitor materials delivered to the Project site by suppliers.
- Prepare measurements and quantities of executed works to be used for interim payment certificates submitted by the Contractor to the Employer/Engineer.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, and sequencing of activities according to the time schedule.
- Enforce all applicable safety regulations and site rules, proper use of personal protective equipment and identify and report hazards and unsafe practices.
- Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including reports, site logs, records, photographs, and related documentation.
- Maintain proper and continuous communication with all relevant stakeholders, including the Company, the Engineer, and the Employer.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Specialty: Civil Engineer. Engineer’s license will be used as the company’s license for construction.
- Full-time, on-site
- Experience: 8–10 years in relevant construction or infrastructure projects.
- Language Skills: Native Montenegrin or Serbian; English B2 or higher.
- Software Skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD; FIDIC experience is desirable.
- License: Driving License B.
- Standard working days: Monday to Friday, 40hours per week (weekend work whenever necessary)
- Practical experience in on-site operations and construction environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Background in structural engineering and ability to collaborate with civil engineers.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage resources on-site.
